Well, no matter how well they're designed or installed, even Califon seamless gutters will still have a few seams here and there. Just because they maintain a seamless linear pathway from end to end, there are still places like end caps and downspout holes that will have seams. The fewer the seams, definitely the better-but having two or three seams in each length of guttering installed is inevitable.

The answer is keeping the Califon gutter system meticulously clean and free of debris. With properly installed gutters, water in and of itself will completely drain and evaporate before it's able to cause serious damage. The problem usually begins when debris starts to accumulate and keeps the gutters-and especially the seams-dirty and damp all of the time. Even durable aluminum can't fend off this kind of prolonged attack.
